Health
This is the cost retirees underestimate most.
- CFE (Caisse des Français de l'Étranger), RetraitExpat plan: about €129 a month for one person and €235 for a couple (2025 rates), the same price whatever your age. An 11% increase was voted on some contracts from the second quarter of 2026.
- CFE plus a top-up policy: €2,600 to €4,200 a year per person.
- Private insurance with full cover from the first euro: €2,000 to €4,500 a year. Most insurers no longer take new members after 65 to 75.
- Private GP appointment: 150 to 400 DH. Specialist: 300 to 600 DH.
